Ohh Canada

As I was surfing through Internet I came across my Blog which I did not access from Long time i.e. more then 2 years now. I feel very Pity on my self and finally decide to pen down some thing for my next one.

Lot of topics were coming in my mind covering various things like Socio-Economic Revolution in Kalahandi, Political Scenario in India, COAL India OFS by GOI, Real Estate Investment in Bangalore , Home Loan Tips, Stock Market Share Valuations, Complex Home Loan Interest Rate Computing   (Quarterly Rest VS Monthly VS Daily) … Finally I calmed down my inner state of mind and decided “why not write some thing about my real life Experience so far in the beautiful City of Canada, Toronto

I still remember the announcement on a Long winter Mid Night of 16th Dec 2009 @ Bangalore International Airport

“May I have your attention Please, Flight No XXX from Bangalore to Frankfurt is ready to take off  all passengers are requested to fasten their seat belt “

Yes I was travelling from Bangalore to Toronto via Frankfurt on 16th Dec 2009 in Lufthansa Airlines. It was a Mixed feeling as I was about to miss my family, my near and dear ones, my Friends and Home Food Of course among the Long list of Things to be Missed .  Also I was under a great fear that "how I am going to manage the professional team there in Canada which constitutes of people from all parts of the worlds (The Asians, Europeans, and Americans) ".

Suddenly before the flight take off I got a Sweet message that gave a boost of Confidence and brought a Smile on my face “Have a Great Journey and Take Care of Your Self “ .. Yes I still remember that message and later on the girl who sent that became my better half in 2012.   After having a Nice dinner @ around 3:00 A.M  I had a Nice sleep and when I woke Up I was in  a completely new land called Frankfurt ,  , the nerve of Germany with un known people and un known language. I took the transit and finally reached Toronto Pearson International Airport at the Noon 2:00 P.M Local Time.

Few Initial months of my stay here went on getting adjusted to the Canadian Winter and adjusting my self at the new work place and new work culture. The best part came after 10-15 days i.e  when I experienced the 1st Snow Fall of my Life. Yes I saw my first Snow Fall here and got a privilege to enjoy it fully at my best.  Mother Earth becomes so romantic in Canada during Snow Fall . Every where you can see tiny small drop plates of Snow in the name of “Flurries “   and let me confirm you one thing the Winter here runs for 5 Months of Heavy Snow Storms .  Normally Canadians observed 3 Months of Summer , 6 Months of Winter and 3 Months of Spring. Houses here are designed in such a manner that you feel relief during the winter like the Hard Wood Flooring, the wooden Partition between walls, Central / Self Controlled HEATING SYSTEM. I enjoyed a great stay here with Comfort and Luxury. You will get every thing here by a single Mouse Click or a Phone Call or by a walk.

The best part of Canada which makes it UNIQUE among other countries is the Health Care System. Canada spends 18% of its GDP on Health Care and Immunization. You can get everything free covered here from a Doctor Consultation to a major Operation like Heart Stroke / Cancer / any other major Surgeries. We enjoyed a world class Medication during our 3.5 years of Stay. I still remember the time when I went to the Doctor to have a Diagnosis on Gas / Acidity. The doctor did not gave me a single medicine how ever he did a full body check up starting Blood, Urine. Stool, BMI, Food Habits, Cholesterol etc. The thing that impressed me is for a small thing also they use to do a lot of impact analysis and recommends the best medication using the latest techniques of Medical Science. Let me clear one thing CANADA is worlds #1 place for Medicine and pharmacy. They have the best in the world and 100% covered by the Government.

Education and its moral value………

In these days I was thinking what to write and what not to. So many things were coming up in my mind but did not able to make those a complete script for my next blog. Finally I sat down calmly and recollected all the things that I observed after coming here to Canada. I decided to end up the topic Education as my next blog. This is purely my observation, Feeling and thought.

Here I Go………..

Let’s first concentrate on the Education System of India. In India before the born of the child the parents used to decide that my kid will become a Doctor or Engineer or a Scientist. The parents used to teach the child from the Childhood that Read more and more to become a Doctor or Engineer or a Scientist. In my childhood I had gone through such phases. My Grand Pa and Grand Ma used to say me when I was not reading that “ Path Saath nei padh na Bad hele Gai Charabu na – In English its No need to read any thing and you will end up with a Cow Boy”. That’s the basic thinking of People in India. This was in Child Hood. By Mental and Physical Pressure the Kid used to end up with becoming a doctor or an Engineer. After that the Main thinking of people is to Earn Money so much Money so that 7 generations down the Line can easily live a Great Life with Luxury and Comfort. The main intension of People is Money and I am also not an Exception we taught from the Childhood to do the same. The main reason behind the same is the Family Dependency. In order to avoid this I think we need to grow up to be Independent specially our Parents also. Once you will be in dependent you can choose the way you need and can end up with a Great Cause.

The one thing I observed in Canada is People are very Independent. They never care about Education or any thing. Their main objective is to have a Formal Education. They respect the work of every body whether it’s a Security Guard or a Police or a CEO. The west the Developed because of the fact that they are Independent and their Education System is Amazing.
I think We need to change our Ideology for a better living. Life is too short and we need to enjoy it fully. If we start thinking about the future generation who does not exist as of now then we will end up loosing our Present. This reminds me a Very Good saying from the Movie Rang De Basanto " Mera ek per Past pe, aur ek per Future main isi lie main Present pe Mut raha hun". By seeing the Education System of West I can say one thing thay We are still behind of the so called Globalisation. I am sure we can improve in these areas as well.

Call From The God...........

“ Uthie Beheraji, Behera Babu uthie” That was the call from the omnipotent, omniscient and almighty God to an old man of his sixties on an early winter morning at Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMC), Vellor, India. After repeated calls he woke up and grace the God’s presence.

During my summer vacation last year I had gone to my native place to spend my vacations. On those days I had gone to my relatives home .During one of my visits to my Uncles house what we call mamu ghar in our local language, I came in contact with an old man of his mid sixties. He told me a vivid story about his experience of feeling the God’s Presence. He also made me a promise to make that a story and publish for him in the local weekly “The Arjee” of kalahandi. So I gave him a word and publish that on the 1st week of last month.

As everybody knows that the Brahmins of Kalahandi are Vedic scholars, traditional in nature and are the stunch follower of Hinduism. The old man which I am talking about is also that kind of person and also a Brahmin of a middle class rural family of Kalahandi. He has a deep belief of God’s presence. As per him what ever we people are now all are due to the grace to God. The name of the old man is Mr. Premananda Behera. His religious teacher is Swami Chidananda Sarawati, President The Divine Life Society, Rishikesh, India. He has a strong belief on his holy teacher and also a follower of his ideology and religious words.

Behera Babu has a happy family which comprises of his wife and two sons. He spent his time by reading Hindu epics, farming and attending religious conferences by eminent personalities. But when time passes he suddenly feel ill and became weaker and weaker. His body mechanism starts not responding food. So he decided to make a healt check up at CMC, Vellor.

Behera Babu fixed an appointment with the doctor and checked his health. When the report came the doctors became surprised and sorry to say that Behera babu has a tumor of about 0.3 mm size on his brain. The doctors also told that the tumor is on the verge of growing mode and should be eradicated soon otherwise will hamper his health and brain. So with out any delay he was appointed in the Hospital for the treatment of Brain Tumor. The cost of the operation was somehow around 2 lacks and will take 4-5 weeks. The tumor will be eradicated by the help of nuclear ray what we call cemo therapy treatment on the physicians languages.

The operation date was finalized and before night behera babu’s brain was scanned. The doctors predicted that there’s a tumor of 0.35 mm. On that night Behera Babu had no sense and he slept on the ICU as a 1 month baby. The night was a winter night and everywhere it’s fog. The outer world seems to be silent at that time. During early morning Behera Babu heard a voice
“ Uthie Beheraji, Behera Babu uthie”
At first he thought that as a dream. But when the voice gradually increased he woke up from his bed and sat down. He saw a divine torch focusing his face. After some instant he saw his holy Gurdev calling him with opened arms. He graced the god’s presence. The almighty Gurudev touched his head and blessed him and told “ Sarve Vabantu Sukhino”

After some time Behera babu again lost his sense and fell sleepy as a restless person. On that morning the doctors came for the final test before the operation which was scheduled to be at that evening. They scanned his brain and when saw the report became surprised that there’s no tumor on his brain. They thought some thing might be wrong on the test. After several (2 to 3 tests) they found the same thing and thought that as a miracle. On that day the doctors told all the people present there that “ God is the first and the best doctor of the human soul”. When I heard this I can’t believe it as the old man now a days seems to be more active whom I saw last 2 years back.

From this I came to know that all greatest treasures of the Life can be achieved if we have a faith on God and have a positive attitude. The experience of the old man teaches me a lesson that
“ Every Day is a new beginning for us Every moment ”

Good Bye 2009........

It’s the time to say Good Bye to 2009 and a warm welcome to 2010. The year 2009 full of mixed kind of emotions for me, achieved so many heights and Lost so many things as well. So I can say it’s an average for me.

In the Early 2009 I got promoted in my Career on one side where as on the other side I lost My Mother side Grand Paa who was my Guide, well wisher on every step of my life. The joy of Career Growth was over shadowed by the sad news.

In the Mid of 2009 I got my Hike letter (Due to Recession 60% of People who are in Software Industry in India did not got) which brought some smile on my face but on the other hand I lost Contact with one my Best Friend due to some misunderstanding. So again the Joy of Hike was overshadowed by the Sadness.

In the late 2009 on one hand I came to Canada (Currently here) for a Client Engagement and I was thrilled to work with Eastern American & Canadian People but on the Other side I am missing the Friends, Relatives, Parents, Homely Food. So the Indian Food thrust is overshadowing my Thrill of Work. ha ha ha..

So I learnt one thing that this is a Part of Life. Distance also teaches you wise lessons. I am learning it. 2009 brought so many Good and Bad News arround the world. like the recession, the satyam debacle, the Telegana issue, Michael Jackson Death , Rising Indian economy, Increasing Share Prices and many More.

Hence in Short 2009 a Mixed Year of Emotions for me.

"Do not make Resolutions to Create Resolutions".

Just Go ahead with what your Heart Says the Right. I wish all a Happy New Year 2010. May the New Year and the added year of your Life bring a Lot of Joy, Happiness, Prosperity in every step of your Life.
